Dear Sangha and Friends.
Cremation ceremony & prayers for Drupon Samten Rinpoche
10:30am Wed. June 22nd Lake Elsinore You will have time to say goodbye and offer a kata to Rinpoche.

Drupon Samten Rinpoche’s cremation ceremony will be this Wednesday June 22nd, 2022 at (approx.) 10:30am in Lake Elsinore. We have made arrangements so that his body can stop at Drikung Kyobpa Choling Monastery for his final circumambulation in his current body. His body will arrive at DKC in Escondido at 9am PT on Wed. 6/22. We will only be at DKC for 20 minutes.. After it is concluded, we will continue up to the crematorium in Lake Elsinore.
All those local sangha wishing to come to the DKC monastery on Wed. June 22nd please arrive between 8:00am to 8:30am. You can attend the ceremony at DKC in Escondido and the ceremony in Lake Elsinore or which ever works best.If you are late to DKC, then please head up to Lake Elsinore. We will try to video and share later for those who are not in attendance. Prayers are requested at this time. No cars will be omitted to DKC after Rinpoche’s body arrives.

We saw Rinpoche today at the funeral home and requested that he now prepare for the next stages of his transition.
We are very fortunate to have many monks and nuns here including Drupon Rinchen Dorje, Lama Gabe, Lama Sonam, Lama Norbu, Khenpo Tenzin, Padma Rigzin, Ani Stanzin, Ani Tanzin, and our dear Tibetan Buddhist artist Buchung Nubgya and many other sangha and friends. Additionally, we are requesting different monasteries and nunneries in India, Ladakh and Nepal to make prayers every week for the next 7 weeks. We will update you later regarding the special 49-day ceremony for Rinpoche.

You are welcome to join ZOOM Monday and Tuesday between 9am to 5pm for prayers at DKC for Drupon Samten Rinpoche. It is not a fixed schedule, so you can just check in. If no one is there, you can check back later in the afternoon. Thank you.
