Khenpo Tenzin
Khenpo Tenzin became a monk at a young age and went through many years of monastic training and meditation retreat including the 5-Fold Path of Mahamudra and the Six Yogas of Naropa.
After completing all his courses of study, Khenpo Tenzin was enthroned as a Khenpo (Abbot) by His Holness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang in 2017 during a very large ceremony at the LamaYuru Monastery in Ladakh. Khenpo has traveled to Vietnam multiple times to perform rituals and ceremonies. He speaks English, Tibetan, Nepali and Ladakhi.
Our precious teacher, Drupon Samten Rinpoche requested that His Holiness send Khenpo here to Drikung Kyobpa Choling to be a primary teacher. It has taken a few years for all the processing to bring him to the US. Drupon Samten Rinpoche had great confidence in Khenpo's devotion to the lineage and knew that he would be a great teacher for our sangha.
